Mountain Wilderness was created with the aim of defending and recovering the last untouched spaces of the Alpine arch through strategies that provide for the systematic recourse to concrete actions, also through the use of utopian provocation, to stimulate the growth of environmental awareness levels of ever wider layers of mountain goers.
Mountain Wilderness works to preserve the mountain natural and cultural heritage in three complementary ways:
1) Supporting mountain activities and practices that promote self-sufficiency, respect for nature and shared enjoyment.
2) Opposing aggressive activities such as off-road, snowmobiles, heliskiing and more generally, marketing, excessive development and exclusive appropriation by those, from the mountains, want only to profit from it.
3) Promoting a natural and cultural development respectful of mountain regions, to ensure a sustainable future for all those who choose to live there.
