Description

A voluntary effort among federal, state and private land owners to preserve and protect the 100,000 acre watershed on the windward slopes of Haleakala.
As of today, the partnership actively manages 40,000 acres of fragile high-elevation forests, the source of Maui's fresh water, and home to over 40 rare plants species and 11 native birds.
