Alex Crumpler

As an eagle scout, I have always been passionate about the outdoors. A couple of years ago I rediscovered the art of fly fishing and quickly started to understand the importance of conversation. I saw first hand the damage that we are doing to these vital waterways and their surrounding ecosystems. The deeper I get into fly fishing the more I am determined to help protect our rivers. I volunteer annually with the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper as a wader cleaning up the river, its tributaries, and watershed.
As a new dad the importance of conservation and helping grassroots environmental causes has been amplified in my mind and heart. I don't want my son to turn to me when he is older and say "why didn't you try to do something to protect and conserve our environment."
