Karavaniers has been created in 1998. We guide travelers on the most beautiful trails and seas of the world, hiking or sea kayaking. As adventure travel agency, we behave as respectful guests, involving environmental care and positive social impacts in our actions.
« The world doesn’t need men, that’s why we have to be light on him.” Tibetan proverb.

Our environmental

Carbon neutral trips

100% of our trips are carbon neutral since 2008. We now compensate for our ten first years of activity. Our purpose is to be carbo-positive in 2025.

1% For the planet

We are proudly member of One Percent for The Planet, meaning we give 1% of our sales back to the environment (besides carbon credits), supporting approved environmental non-profits.

Sharing our vision

We assign ourselves the mission to convince other companies and individuals to commit for the environment. In Quebec, Aventure Écotourisme Québec (a network of adventure businesses and outdoors professionals) is our partner to take this challenge.

Leave No trace

On every trip, guides, travelers and staff apply the Leave No Trace principles, according with culture and local practices.

Our way to work

Nice trips

Less transfer, more hiking, uncrowded trails, committed travelers, good food, experimented guides.

Respectful guests

We believe in local management, cultures valorization, training of local staff, proper working conditions, education and laws respect.

Fair pricing

We don’t aim to be the cheapest. We want to be fair: fair for our staff, our clients and the planet.

Supporting local communities

We are involved with local communities, not only during our trips but also when a crisis occurs (for example, after earthquake in Nepal) or for long term operation (supporting access to education for remote villages).

Environmental care

Travelling with us means to pay for carbon credits. It’s just one of all the measures we take to minimize our environmental and social impact.

Truly committed

If we are not satisfied by how we impact when travelling somewhere, we stop going. We don’t hike anymore to Everest Base Camp, neither to classical routes of Kilimanjaro.

Also involved at home

Besides our international actions, we are also part of change where we belong: we are involved in Quebec, with Aventure Ecotourisme Québec and various non-profits.
